AR15 A2 "PARTIAL CAGE" FLASH HIDER

AR15 A2 "PARTIAL CAGE" FLASH HIDER

Flash Hider A2 style "Partial Cage" threaded 1/2x28 TPI for 5.56 / .223 AR15.  Partial cage flash hiders are the latest version that has one "port" left solid, which should be oriented at the 6 o'clock position (the bottom) when installed using a crush washer (Part #01661 - available separately).  The solid bottom forces the muzzle blast out the top and sides to decrease muzzle climb to allow the shooter to remain on target during rapid fire.

This A2 Partial Cage Flash Hider is proudly made in the USA and easily meets or exceeds US GI Mil-Spec requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions For

AR15 A2 "PARTIAL CAGE" FLASH HIDER

  1. What is the difference between a FULL CAGE and a PARTIAL CAGE flash hider?
  2. Can I use this A2 PARTIAL CAGE FLASH HIDER on other firearms?
  3. How do I know if this A2 PARTIAL CAGE FLASH HIDER will fit on my firearm?
  1. What is the difference between a FULL CAGE and a PARTIAL CAGE flash hider?
The full cage flash hider has gas ports at all positions around the flash hider. The partial cage flash hider does not have a port for the bottom of the flash hider. When the full cage is installed, it is not necessary to orient it to the rifle since the muzzle blast is vented and dissipated equally in all directions. However with the partial cage flash hider, it must be installed using a crush washer and torqued so that the solid bottom of the flash hider is at the 6 o'clock position (the bottom) when tightened onto the rifle.
  2. Can I use this A2 PARTIAL CAGE FLASH HIDER on other firearms?
Yes. This A2 PARTIAL CAGE FLASH HIDER will work on any .22 caliber firearm that is correctly threaded 12/-28 TPI. However, it of course can NOT BE USED ON LARGER CALIBER FIREARMS (such as 9mm) since the bullet will be too large even though both calibers use the same 1/2-28 TPI threading. Use on larger caliber firearms will result in damage and possible injury to the shooter or bystanders.
  3. How do I know if this A2 PARTIAL CAGE FLASH HIDER will fit on my firearm?
You will have to have a .223 / .22LR firearm that is threaded 1/2-28 TPI. If you are unsure of your firearm's threading, you should contact the manufacturer of the firearm for clarification.
